CHAIN PUZZLE SOLUTION

Here you're going to see the Hanayama Chain puzzle solution.

To get more puzzles like the Chain puzzle, check out the Puzzle Master website; http://www.puzzlemaster.ca/?a=816591

The Hanayama Chain puzzle is a level 6 out of a possible 6 on the Hanayama difficulty scale, so puzzles don't come much tougher than this one.

The key to the Chain puzzle solution is, firstly, reordering the chain from 1-2-3 to 1-3-2. Not only do you have to change the Chain puzzle order, you also have to reorder it in the position where the grooves/cut outs in the number 1 and number 3 pieces fit together.

This then allows the room to completely separate the number 2 piece.

The added challenge of this one is the number of possibly positions/orders/orientations there are of the three pieces.

If you're not in the original Chain puzzle position, you have the added challenge of trying to reorder your Chain.

If you have any problems or questions about the Hanayama Chain solution, comment below and I'll do my very best to help you.

Enjoy the Hanayama Chain puzzle solution!

Marcel van den Berg : That's a very good and well filmed solution. It never ceases to amaze me how these designers manage to come up with puzzles like this. Thanks and regards.
Michael Porter : Yes, it certainly did help. After a few hours on my own I was sure it was impossible, lol. But three moves later... It was. Amazing! Thank you.
Cast Iron Cooking : Love your channel man! I’m new to the Hanayama puzzle games. I’m so addicted now! I subscribed earlier today.
Will Lastnameguy : I loved this puzzle. Took me about 3 days of intermittent fiddling.
T : Thank you so much. I was only one step away from solving it but I was so impatient and frustrated.

Mr.Puzzle : It seems I confused myself due to the many disassembles and reassembles I required in preparation for this video. The orientation on the picture is the same as the shipping condition. Just the middle piece is flipped by 180°. All good! :D
Steve Kerr : This was my first Hanyama puzzle, I've had it for many years and it is still my favourite. I can disassemble and reassemble it with my eyes closed, or behind my back, although I can't guarantee I'll have every piece in the correct orientation. Thank you for a great channel Mr Puzzle, and an extra thank you for doing my favourite puzzle!
John Blackburn : I almost threw this puzzle in a pond. Luckily I found this vid. Thanks
Tabby Abby : Hi I'm a new subscriber. Thank you for the videos, I find them very interesting. I'm thinking of buying a few of these puzzles to keep on my coffee table for when I have company come over. They would make a great conversation piece. Thanks again :)
Ronnie Sollien : I would say, the single pieces orientation does not matter. The important to me is the pieces link order, one dot - two dots - three dots. I have not seen any strategical changes when the pieces is orientated different. It is one orientation that is important during the solving and that is a part of the puzzle.
(Because if you have a maze with one roundabout on the way, what way through the roundabout should then be the correct?)
